Yearnin' & Burnin'
The "Yearnin' & Burnin'" series stems from my love of Lisbon and travel in general. I've represented some of my favorite cities as maps, each identified by its corresponding International Air Transport Association (IATA) code. The maps are digitally printed on thick card stock and then emblazoned with the burnin' heart… a three-step process that makes each one completely original. First, the heart is spray-painted in white, then the black details are screen-printed, and finally, the piece is finished with spray-painted fire. No two are exactly alike. The back of each piece is a built-in certificate of authenticity that is signed, numbered, dated, and stamped.
You can purchase just the art or already mounted in a handcrafted wooden frame. I build and paint each frame to custom fit these 5 × 7in. pieces. All frames are a dark matte slate grey/black, a perfect match for the artwork.
Print Specifications
Size: 12.7 × 17.78 cm (5 × 7 in)
Paper: 600gsm card stock, FSC® certified from responsibly sourced material
Inks: Acrylic and latex
Each piece features its own Certificate of Authenticity printed on the back
Each is signed, dated, numbered, and stamped
Edition: Limited to 50 pieces per city
Framed versions come with a handcrafted slate-black* 18 × 23 × 4.5 cm (7 × 9 × 1.75 in) frame with the art float-mounted and ready to hang.
About Collecting
Each city in the Yearnin' & Burnin' series is limited to just 50 pieces worldwide, making this a highly collectible work. The combination of digital precision and hand-finished spray paint techniques means your print is truly one-of-a-kind; no two hearts burn quite the same way. Whether you're celebrating a city you love or building a collection of urban memories, these pieces capture the restless spirit of wanderlust in a compact format.
*The slate-black frames are not solid black. They are a very dark grey, which I think looks really cool and works better with the art.
