Is it fighting or dancing? Hand-painted interpretation of vintage judo instructional illustrations. The orange/blue offset mimics what happened when printing presses were manually aligned by actual humans, and the registration was slightly off. That "mistake" is more interesting than digital precision. Added the ghosted dance steps because the whole machismo around martial arts is funny when you realize it's just two people leading each other through choreographed weight transfers. Before YouTube, this is how you learned to throw someone. For people who appreciate analog instruction and aren't precious about combat sports.
Original: 2,200€, 150cm x 100cm, Acrylic on canvas. Ships rolled with stretcher bars.
Shipping: Free shipping. 5-14 days, depending on your location.
Certification: Comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed, dated, and stamped by me.
Free Mockup
If you would like to see this artwork on your wall before you buy, you can send a photo of your wall, and I will create a mockup.
For best results, follow these steps:
Remove any clutter from in front of the wall. It would be best if the wall were blank.
Stick a piece of paper (with the size written on the sheet, i.e, “A4” or “Letter”), a Dollar/Euro, or ruler, to the wall as a size reference.
Take a natural, well-lit image of your wall.
Email your photo and the size of the print you’re interested in to studio@evansmade.com
I’ll email your photoshopped image within 1-2 working days.
NOTE
This painting comes stretched and ready to hang. It DOES NOT come framed. If you’re interested in having it framed first, please contact me directly.
