A 1930’s car enthusiast with one of racing’s most iconic cars… the Shelby Daytona.
You know the story, purpose-built by Carroll Shelby and crew to beat Ferrari's dominant 250 GTO in the international GT class. Designed by 25-year-old designer Peter Brock, the innovative tail and low-drag teardrop profile allowed the V8-powered car to reach speeds near 196 mph. Underneath this aero dynamic body, the Daytona Coupe used the exact same chassis, suspension, leaf springs, and motor as the standard Shelby Cobra roadster.
A nod to two early eras of motorsports, what more could a sophisticated gearhead want? Well, considering getting your hands on one of the six that were made is probably not feasible, you can take this beauty home for a very reasonable price.
